Getting started

1. 1 Create an account (with email or Google). Click the link we email you to verify it.
2. 2 Click "Create site": pick an industry → pick a look → enter your website name and address. The address cannot be changed later, but you can add your own domain.
3. 3 Your site goes live immediately. The first 7 days are free — use everything without paying.
4. 4 The "Get started" list on your dashboard shows what to do next.

Writing and publishing news

1. 1 Click "Write news" in the left menu. Add a headline, text, pictures and a category.
2. 2 "Publish" puts it on your site right away. Choose "Scheduled" to publish at an exact time.
3. 3 When a reporter writes, an editor reviews and publishes ("Waiting for review").
4. 4 Upload pictures from "Media" too; your logo can be added to photos automatically (Professional plan).

How your site looks

1. 1 On the "Design" page, change the theme, set colours and text style, and turn on dark mode.
2. 2 Changing the theme resets colours and text style to that theme's own — keep that in mind first.
3. 3 In "Site settings" add your name, logo, contact and social links. Arrange "Menus" and the "Home page".

Your own domain

1. 1 Professional and bigger plans unlock "Your own domain". Type your domain and add it.
2. 2 To prove the domain is yours, add a TXT record in your DNS — the page shows exactly what. Also point the domain to our server (A or CNAME).
3. 3 Once DNS is right it is verified automatically (a few minutes to a few hours). Then we switch on HTTPS.
4. 4 When the domain is live, visitors of the old address are sent to the new one.

Plans and payment

1. 1 One plan covers your whole account — up to a set number of websites, storage and team members.
2. 2 To pay: send the amount by bKash/Nagad/Rocket to the number shown, then enter the transaction ID (TrxID) and your number. When we match it, your period is extended.
3. 3 From 7 days before it ends, a renewal invoice is created for you and emailed. Paying early never loses days.
4. 4 Need more? Upgrade — the unused part of your period is taken off as credit. Use "Build your own plan" for extra sites or storage.
5. 5 After the period ends your site keeps running for a few days, then closes; pay and it opens again. Your data is not deleted right away.

Team

1. 1 On the "Team" page invite people by email and choose a role: editor, reporter, author, moderator.
2. 2 The owner can hand over ownership to another member with their password — you then become an editor.

Help and custom work

1. 1 Use "Support" at the top to ask a question or report a problem — we reply by email and there.
2. 2 For a new feature or one-off work, make a "custom work request": we send a price and only start once you accept.
3. 3 Sometimes Kodbee staff open your dashboard to help. You are emailed with the reason, and they cannot change passwords, members, subscription or domains.

Security

1. 1 In "My account" change your password and turn on two-step verification (an authenticator app). Keep your recovery codes safe.
2. 2 You can also log in with Google. Never share your password — we will never ask for it.
